FOUR ON THE FLOOR – MATTOVERSE ELECTRONICS

The Guitar Knobsblog

Four On The Floor is our new podcast segment in which we ask our guests to name their four must have pedals excluding tuners. Pretty fun right! If they are a pedal builder they cannot name their own pedals of course (sorry!).

Mattoverse is a returning guest so we thought we should get his FOTF since we didn’t during his first interview. If you are not familiar with Mattoverse Electronics, do yourself a favor and check it out. Mattoverse makes some of the most singularly unique pedals out there. You can hear our new interview with him for yourself right here listen to with your own ears right here. Check out Mattoverse’s choices for his Four On The Floor.

1. Boss OC-2 Octave

“Always a favorite pedal of mine. It is the older one and does sound different than the OC3. I have had a few different ones over the years and they have all had a slightly different character. I typically don’t go down to the two octaves setting, I just like to mix the one octave in to my signal for fun like for weird leads or for a single riff line.” Check out the Boss OC-2 Octave Pedal

2. MXR 133 Micro Amp

“Just a little one knob boost pedal. I like them because it seems a little brighter than others. I like to use low wattage amps that are turned up to the point where they begin breaking up and the micro amp gives you that extra gain without the extra volume because the amp is at its headroom peak.” Check out the MXR 133 Micro Amp

3. Dunlop CryBaby Wah Pedal

“Just the standard CryBaby. It seems like I’ve always had one on my board!” Check out the Dunlop Cry Baby Wah Pedal

4. Line 6 DL4 Delay

“That was the first big delay pedal that I remember. It had like 20 or 30 seconds loop on it so it was enough to play a chord progression and then noodle over the top or work on layering the parts together.” Check out the Line 6 DL4 Delay

Huge thanks to Mattoverse Electronics for being a guest on our show. Please check out his unique approach to guitar pedals at Mattoverse Electronics. We wish him continued success!
