What are your four ‘must-have’ pedals? That is what we ask our guests to share with you in our Four On the Floor podcast segment.
Clint McDuffie makes some serious noise pedals. And he makes some serious noise with pedals (see what I did there). If you are not familiar with Deep Space Devices do yourself a favor and check them out. He gave us a fantastic interview too! You can hear the episode for yourself right here. Check out these choices for his Four On The Floor.
1. Old Blood Noise Endeavors – Darkstar Reverb
“The Darkstar has an effect called Crush and ever since I heard it I have been in love with it. It also has a delay effect, which is not really a normal delay but one that delays the signal going into your reverb. It is awesome. Alsy my favorite artist of all time John Carling designed the artwork for the pedals so that is a bonus for me. Every show I play and everytime I record, this is on my board always and will always be my number one.”

2. Montreal Assembly – Count To Five Delay
“Most of the music I do incorporates loops, sampling, crazy delays and other stuff like that. You can do so much with this thing but the craziest aspect of this pedal for me is that you can record three different loops and can change the pitch of each of the 8 second loop. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

3. Caroline Guitar Company – Kilobyte Lo Fi Delay
“I never really use tap tempo and the Kilobyte has made me never want to go towards tap tempo. The delay sounds fantastic but the oscillating Havoc switch is what sold me on the pedal. I write weird music so this does the trick for me.”

4. Electronic Audio Experiments – Longsword Overdrive
“John Snyder is an amazing pedal builder. The tonal control and accessibility of this pedal does it all for me. I am always so excited when I’m playing it.”
