“As a bass player, I found that I needed a preamp that can be plugged directly to the console because not every sound guy in a bar be willing to mic your amp. “I like to be a solid bass player, you know, I know some part of my band’s music relies on me. It is one of those pedals that when it is on you know it is working. You know, dynamics in bass are very particular because high strings are really thin compared with low strings. So to have a consistent dynamic on the bass, I use a limiter/enhancer or a compressor for my sound to be solid. Most of my life has played in trios– you have to be rock solid in a trio. It works well and it’s very transparent. You don’t hear anything that you don’t need to hear.”

“Well, simple. I really like a fuzzy sounding bass. Like a 60’s psychedelic fuzzy bass. This is the pedal to do that. I like that little bit of drive I can get from my Sansamp Bass Driver, but this is totally different. I love the sound of a good fuzzy bass.”
