1. Heathkit – TA-28 Fuzz
“This is the Mark Farner fuzz of Grand Funk Railroad, which I am a really big fan of. It is a two transistor fuzz and its very gated and very square wavey. I got mine for about $150 bucks, which is a good price–but at the time of release, it was about $18! Ha hah! It is a great pedal.”

2. Prescription Electronics – Experience Fuzz Octave
“This is one of the first boutique pedals I ever purchased. It was also one of the first boutique builders around I think. I got it from a great friend who has a huge collection of amazing vintage pedals. Because of him, I started building pedals myself. He recently passed away, and he left me this pedal.”

3. Univox – Super Fuzz
“This is one of the greatest pedals ever made. It is just amazing. I bought it with the box in mint condition off of eBay for about $700, which is the most expensive pedal I ever bought but it is worth it to me. I am a pretty big fan of Fu-Manchu and this is kind of their main sound. For me, they made it famous.”

4. Dr. No Effects – Road Runner Octave Fuzz Wah
“The octave fuzz wah flying machine (The judges will allow this)
I may be a bit bias here, but I made this with David Catching and I use it a lot. It is one of my favorite pedals that I have built. It was totally his idea to combine these effects together. I love this pedal.”
