From the initial conversations about the design to the moment where I get to hear my customer plug it in for the first time, each instrument is a unique experience. Before I start on a guitar, I want to know the customer’s playing style, amp/effects configuration, favorite music, favorite color, first guitar and anything else that defines their custom instrument as a one-of-a-kind experience from start to finish. By the end of the process, I end up getting to make a guitar for a friend, even if we started out as strangers. Essentially, my aim is to build guitars that are played and loved… and that don’t exist anywhere else but in my customers’ collections.
