If you have not made it out to a guitar show in your general area lately or ever, you are really missing out. But don’t sweat it, because you actually have access to fantastic guitar shows all year long and we hope to help you with that. We just finished our latest podcast episode which focuses on local guitar shows and I for one can’t wait until the next one.
Guitar shows are a hotbed of strange and wonderful guitars, amps, pedals, and other gear. Small batch luthiers, boutique amp builders, collectors and vendors of all kinds of funky hard to find do-dads. We are particularly fond of finding unique knobs!
That stuff is all really great, but I hate to spread the cheese sauce here but honestly the people there are the real prize. Its rare to find so many people that share the same passion you have for something. The people here cant wait to talk to you. To share a story about a piece you are interested in, to ask you a question about gear that you have or are trying to sell, or just to agree to disagree on whether the CBS Fender headstock is better that the earlier ones.
It is the exact opposite of what going to a big name brand guitar store is like. And the best part is that not only will you get a GREAT deal on something you likely didn’t even know you had to have, but you will probably make a friend or two. And then you get to do it all over again at the next one!
